I have been a little distracted from my project and things have been left on the back burner. I have bought a APC20 and converted it into a APC80
The bloody thing does not fit into my box so I am back at the drawing board.....
Found this image when posting this and it did make chuckle.....
MBP (Traktor/ Ableton) MBP 17" (Early 2009) 2.93Ghz Core duo, 4Gb 1077Mhz RAM, Seagate Momentus XT 7200rpm 500GB OS X 10.6.4 TSP 1.2.6 (R8491), ADJ8 (2.3.14 driver)
Midi/ Control (either) Vestax: VCM-600 Livid: Ohm64 Akai: APC80 Korg: PadKontrol (running through FarmPad) Technics: SL1210mk II x 1 (and regret selling my other so think twice)
Couldn't you get another box? It seems somewhat strange to put all of that effort into making the APC80 and later having to scrap the project because your box is too small.

I think I have a new name for that behemoth. .
APC-R. . .for "RAPTURE"
It is an unknown fact that Mr. T is the original Black Power Ranger.
I love what you did with the hard drives there really nice solution to the small hard drives of mac books. It has given me some great ideas for my summer project. I recently took an old podium home from school that's just big enough to house a 12inch mixer and plenty of "rack space". I just picked up a MBP and was thinking about doing the SSD upgrade but that would void the warranty. Now I think I'll build into the podium 2 hardrives. Thanks for sharing.
Traktor Scratch Pro 2, 2X Stanton STR8-80, 2X Denon DN-S700, Akai APC40 + APC20, DDM4000, KRKRokit 8, HD25-II, iPad (Touch OSC)
This kind of project is just the kind of thing that would benefit from thunderbolt being more widely introduced.

Luckily I have a MBP 17" that still has the express port on it..... I am watching the development of the thunderbolt as I think it will be a great little feature for expandability.....
