I wouldn't get Windows 7 right away. I don't care how stable everyone says it is. When Vista came out it was a nightmare. But now it's really stable. Same thing happened with XP. I'm pretty damned sure it's going to happen with Windows 7.

But you can save a lot of money (especially being that seems like a concern) and get a damn stable machine. Good luck to you. Let us know what you decide to do.

    eeeh....

I'm not really ok with people making money on the back of pirated software, and perhaps even stolen music?

Why is DJing the only profession that it's ok to start off a thief? I call bull on this. Go legit or don't do it at all.

This is also a good place for tweaks...make sure you do the first bunch as they will help a great deal.

I was just on the Serato forums (I like to mix hip hop so there's more information there for it) and would never switch if I had to deal with some of those people on that forum. This is a progressive and empowering forum that is very welcoming to even the most newbie questions. A noob in the serato forums is like throwing a sheep to a wolf pack, wolves with serato.

A lot of good producers probably started with dodgy software, would you rather them not exist now because they didnt start legit?
