oh! well, sorry about that. what was the point? just pointing out that there are plenty of keys other than the typical western keys most of us work with?

yeah...its pretty insane how many different keys/time signatures/etc are out there. too many to put on a wheel. lol

Easy Now, Easy Now. Stop acting like Serato Forum users.. This is a place of harmony and bass, so smoke a cone and chiiilllll Winston.

I can see how your post could be mis-interpreted metaverse, but I can also see what you are trying to say.. just went and checked it out.... and DAMN that shit is crazy, how its all linked to seasons and has all these traditions and formats of use surrounding it. Damn cool.

Always been keen to look into Indian music and finding a way to introduce it into dance music cos its fucking amazing stuff...

Alright metaverse, the attitude is not necessary, really. Moniker wasn't rude, no need for you to be either.

Rapidshare has a better system for including more musical keys, but really 99% of us only need to use the camelot system.

    Back on topic though.

You could pre prepare parts of tracks using slicer to slice up the parts that you want to mix with into the bits and change the tempo to something thats more usable for you.

Sometimes I'll make one deck a master and one a slave while both tracks are looped on an intro and outro and pull the pitch slider up or down depending on where I'm taking things . Other times I'll just slam it in there

I have to say that the silence works well. But it's also hard trick to master. :P Requires the right songs, timing and mood of the evening to work.

Once during bedroom djaying I got these two songs working really well together when the second song had only small soft vocal sample for one or two beats and booming base after it. (Fake Blood anyone? ) I think these are somewhat common atleast in some sort of music and could be used kinda the same way. It's not totally the same but it gives the pause to the music and audience has 0,5 second time to wonder what happens next. And then they are forced to dance more.

Maybe i should just copy the clip from the mix and post it somewhere. Much easier that way than trying to explain it.
