Headphones, give advice!

The (Studio) Beats.
- High maintenance (had them in black) - high gloss finish a pain in the you-know-what (OK I am a tad anal)
- Expensive (a bit if 'royalty' due to the good Doc?)
- Bass (albeit awesome) - overwhelms the mids
- Consumer forums warn of breakage at the sliders
- Personally find them a bit 'blingy'
- Leave them on = dead AA's = NO SOUND!
- tma-1's sexier than Anne Hathaway
- tma-1's have a balanced, refined sound
Had lots of 'fun' with Beats and did enjoy them, but SO happy with my tma-1's.

So if you had a choice between the Beats Pro and TMA's, which would you do?

Can't really compare, but I love my Sen HD25-1's. When I started DJing I used the middle of the line Sony MDR-V500's (when everyone here was using the 1000's... I found them too heavy)... but after my 2nd pair fracturing at the hinge, I gave up on them. I also has one other major problem with the 500's... on some mixers they'd be extremely quiet, I'd have to put the level up very high and still wouldn't be very clear. That night another friend (and DJ) showed me his HD25-1's... only had to put them at 1/4 the volume level on the exact same mixer. I've never looked back since.

I bought pioneer hdj 500's today and so far i love them! THe sound is perfect and they are very comfortable aswell may be worth considering
