    Finally got some time on my computer (been posting almost constantly from my cell phone in either class or at work) and just got the tracks. Jesus man, its so different actually paying for your tracks. I used to be a torrenter and what not, but paying for a track... just seems so right and gives me a certain sense of satisfaction (which seems weird as hell).

    Now time to take some time out to listen to these and figure my shit out.

    Good luck guys!

    just a quick thought that occured to me last night;
    do people still record 'double drops' to use in sets? i know that was big in dnb and maybe a bit in hiphop.

    just trying to figure out if it would go against the spirit of the game, or if it's still a legit technique/tool? especially as now the facility is there to do it live anyway.

    should i put something in the 'rules' about it all has to be live? or just leave it alone and see what happens.

    and another one;
    obviously it says, take the tracks and do your thing, looking for personal interpretation etc...
    does anyone think it matters if say the dnb was pitched down? or the dub pitched up? from a mash-up stand point it's a fairly standard practice imo. saying that though, if you wanted to turn one of the dnb tracks and one of the house tracks into a mash-up/remix affair, you'd have to drastically repitch one anyway, and for some reason pitching th house up feels more acceptable...
    again, should i just leave that alone and we see what happens?

    Me too, Grid Lock especially just doesn't want to fit, or bassline skanker...possible because i dislike both of them.

    Not sure if i'll work on it today, exploded my ears at fabric last night - pissed off i forgot earplugs.

    tbh i think gridlock should be easier as it starts on a drum from the off, get some glitching going on and drop it straight on top... one idea i've fiddle with. but lunar bass has a nice not much going on intro that slides in nicely...

    and yeah, not really feeling bassline skanker either... fiddling with a short loop of it...

    on paper atm, and based on prcatice runs and experiments, it looks like my mix may only be about 15-20 mins long...

    Well since i was considering this method I'm going to say leave it to interpretation.

    Not real fond of 4 out of the 10 either, but I guess that's the whole point.

    playing 2 tracks at same time. Recording it, then getting it cut to a dubplate. Or now holding the WAV in your collection.

    Which 4 you not feeling?

    I got my running order sorted now

    i like the dnb, but finding huge energy shift between them & dubstep and other tracks. Wouldn't say a slump, but different feel.
