That's an ace page Joost, I could not even find one proper page on the innards of a BCR2000. (Except for the yahoogroups)

Will be looking into this one, 'cause I would still love to have the mighty BCR in a metal casing.

I was looking at the BCR and wondered if you could change the looks, wouldn't be easy with all the seperate parts. If you keep the distances between the controlls the same it'd be possible, I think

This I could see myself considering to buy too. Maybe even mod it to an Arcade button version, with indicator/status lights.

Might be mixing/mocking this up with my M4 concept.

Suppose you threw in an extra row of knobs at the top, making it 3x4 instead of 2x4, wouldn't you easily be able to control four decks that way?
Both traktor and ableton oughta work with that setup.

The row of 4 small buttons above the big pads would be for modes, shift, modifiers etc.

more knobs? instead of buttons or faders?

photoshop indeed.

the FX unit has got a bit more editing in it than the previous ones. I got the pads from a launchpad, changed the LED colour (I like white & dark blue LED's the most).

I'm looking forward to the 3d mockup by safefire

Please create it with a touchpad (bigger then macbook ones) and two or more touchstrips. Triggering FXs with a touch interface will be always my dream

Mmmm...

I might conjure up a touchpad with 3 by 4 arcade button line up.
