Default Numark MIXTRACK...might turn out to be the best cheap DJ controller.

Thank god I returned the Ion Discover DJ my girlfriend bought me for Christmas.

Although it looked like a cheap toy, I really didn't have much beef with the hardware. My main complaint was lack of software support for the jog wheels. No one seemed to get it right. Not to mention the complete lack of support from mixvibes.

Apparently Numark has learned from their mistakes decided to put out something a little more meaty, but still aimed at the low end. $149 street price with Traktor LE ?!?!?! Whoa...

Looks like it might even be a candidate for an arcade button mod...

Looks alright layout and control wise, but those faders appear to have hideously short travel.
No surprise its aimed at the low end.

Has anybody mapped it for Traktor Pro? Is that a 3rd channel? sound-card?

I`am liking the size of those jog wheels, the unit looks good.

And as for the faders, I think there ok, if it gives you 8 to 10% you should fine.

It was just announced. Apparently it comes with LE and mappings for Traktor Pro and Duo.

No soundcard (of course at $150), but there are rumors that a soundcard version will be coming. That might give the Vestax Spin/Typhoon some competition.

I wanted a Typhoon, but damn is that thing ugly!!! Vestax should have made it all black.

Default needs a mod or 2

i might get one just to paint it and change those horrible knobs
