My Akai LPD8 Traktor Mapping

this is my mapping for the akai lpd8 controller for traktor. it is centered around two deck's effects and cue points. i custom built it for my needs, if you think it will work for you great if not thats fine.



THE FIRST BANK
this bank solely controls the fx banks 1&2 and in this case the first bank is chained and the second is advanced its crucial you make sure yours is set to this to make it work.

Pads 1-4 control the buttons on the 2nd fx bank
pad 1 the dry/wet button
pad 2 the rst button
pad 3 the 3rd button (it varies)
pad 4 the 4th button (it varies)

Pads 5-8 control the buttons on the 1st fx bank
pad 5 is free
pad 6 the 2nd fx on/off button
pad 7 the 2nd fx on/off button
pad 8 the 3rd fx on/off button

Knobs 5-8 control the amount knobs on the 2nd fx bank
knob 5 the dry/wet on the 2nd fx bank
knob 6 the 1st knob on the 2nd fx bank
knob 7 the 2nd knob on the 2nd fx bank
knob 8 the 3rd knob on the 2nd fx bank

Knob 1-4 control the amount knobs on the 1st fx bank
knob 1 the dry/wet knob on the 1st fx bank
knob 2 the 1st knob on the 1st fx bank
knob 3 the 2nd knob on the 1st fx bank
knob 4 the 3rd knob on the 1st fx bank


THE SECOND BANK
the second bank pads control the fx 1&2 on/off buttons for deck A and B as-well as the play and sync for decks A and B, while the knobs still control the fx amount knobs.

Pads 1-4 control play and sync for both decks
pad 1 play for deck A
pad 2 sync for deck A
pad 3 play for deck B
pad 4 sync For deck B

Pad 5-8 turn fx 1&2 on/off
pad 5 turns fx 1 on on deck A
pad 6 turns fx 2 on on deck A
pad 7 turns fx 1 on on deck B
pad 8 turns fx 2 on on deck B

Knobs 5-8 control the amount knobs on the 2nd fx bank
knob 5 the dry/wet on the 2nd fx bank
knob 6 the 1st knob on the 2nd fx bank
knob 7 the 2nd knob on the 2nd fx bank
knob 8 the 3rd knob on the 2nd fx bank

Knob 1-4 control the amount knobs on the 1st fx bank
knob 1 the dry/wet knob on the 1st fx bank
knob 2 the 1st knob on the 1st fx bank
knob 3 the 2nd knob on the 1st fx bank
knob 4 the 3rd knob on the 1st fx bank


THE THIRD BANK
the third banks pads set and activate cue points 1-8 on deck A as well as controlling the fx knobs

Pads 1-8
pad 1 cue point 1 on deck A
pad 2 cue point 2 on deck A
pad 3 cue point 3 on deck A
pad 4 cue point 4 on deck A
pad 5 cue point 5 on deck A
pad 6 cue point 6 on deck A
pad 7 cue point 7 on deck A
pad 8 cue point 8 on deck A

Knobs 5-8 control the amount knobs on the 2nd fx bank
knob 5 the dry/wet on the 2nd fx bank
knob 6 the 1st knob on the 2nd fx bank
knob 7 the 2nd knob on the 2nd fx bank
knob 8 the 3rd knob on the 2nd fx bank

Knob 1-4 control the amount knobs on the 1st fx bank
knob 1 the dry/wet knob on the 1st fx bank
knob 2 the 1st knob on the 1st fx bank
knob 3 the 2nd knob on the 1st fx bank
knob 4 the 3rd knob on the 1st fx bank


THE FOURTH BANK
the fourth banks pads set and activate cue points 1-8 on deck A as well as controlling the fx knobs

pad 2 cue point 2 on deck B
pad 3 cue point 3 on deck B
pad 4 cue point 4 on deck B
pad 5 cue point 5 on deck B
pad 6 cue point 6 on deck B
pad 7 cue point 7 on deck B
pad 8 cue point 8 on deck B

EDIT: Wow... i guess that's just my luck. Soon after posting, pads 2,6,8 and 4 don't respond on program 4

anybody have any fixes? Please post your "Preset" for the LPD8 Editor as well, so we can use it!
