I'm thinking about picking up something like this to start
The osc look like they have a lot of possibilities

Since I switched back to 1200s……I don't want much.
So…here's my experience with RGAS:
2004:
- first set of 1210s
- PMC-180
- HDJ-1000
2005:
- SSL (sold after a few months)
- FS2
- 1210m5g
- MDR-7506
2006:
- pair RP5
- pair CDJ-200
- Ableton Live
- Trigger Finger
- Macbook
- digidesign mBox 2 (with Pro Tools 7.3 LE)
2007:
- SSL (again)
- Sold the mBox
2008: nothing
2009: nothing
2010:
- Sold:
- SSL (again)
- all 3 1210s
- My CDJs
- VCM-600 (for live)
- Traktor Pro
- Audio 2
- X1
- x-session pro
- xone:62
- lpd8
- Maschine
- Upgrade to Live 8
2011:
- Logic
- Macbook Pro
- Traktor Pro 2
- Second X1
- iLok
2012:
- Sold everything except headphones, monitors, Live, Logic, and the MBP
- Pair 1200s
- SSL (3rd time)
- Pro Tools 10
Honestly, I think I should have just stuck with vinyl + cds. I'd have spent a lot less money chasing shit I wasn't really happy with. Right now, all I want is to eventually upgrade to a rotary mixer, upgrade my 1200s to m5gs, and focus on production hardware. Which is funny, because that's what I was saving up for in 2008 as well.
I am only 17, but it looks like I don't realy know what I want...
It has all started in July 2011:
- 2x Denon DNS1200 (Didn't really know what to do with pitch fader)
-Denon DNX 120
-cheap headphones
September 2010: (Sold Denons)
-2x Technics 1210mk2 (aww I miss them)
-Traktor Scratch duo
-Numark M3
November 2010:
-add Kontrol X1
January 2011: (sold Technics)
-DJM 700s
-2x CDJ 200
February 2011:
-Audio 2 DJ
May 2011:
-2x CDJ 400
August 2011: (sold Pioneers)
-A&H xone DX
September 2011:
-Korg Zero 4
November 2011:
-2x KRK Rokit rp6 g2
-HDJ 500
-DJM 400
December 2011:
-DJM 700k
February 2012: (sold DJM)
-A&H xone 42
Now I am left with x1 and KRKs. What to buy next?

It easy to see how they get lost in the possibilities and it becomes eurocrack
The z3000 looks great, I think it's best to do what we've brh planned on one digital and one analog osc, analog filters is what makes digital sing.
That's what makes Allen and Heath mixers so good
The real question to how infected you are is if you read through these lists and they all seem reasonable........
My list pales in comparison-
LPD8
Add Mixer
Add Midifighter
Sell Midifighter
Buy Macbook Pro
Buy Numark NS6
Get rid of it after platter feels wonky (2 weeks. Store Return Policy)
Buy DDJ-S1
Gig with it once at home, Get rid of it after another 2 1/2 weeks (Store return Policy)
You should have seen the look on the dude's face after i came in for the 3rd time. Priceless.
Buy Lighting Package (4 PAR38's and a little box and T stand) (still have it)
Buy Kontrol S4
Buy Flightcase
Gig countlessly and somewhat get over RGAS
z3000 is actually all analog
They sold out this morning when I went to order and ended up going with two used bubblesound VCOb OSCs

ah, I don't feel alone anymore.
Just in this year alone, past six months, I have already gotten Orchestral Essentials Ensemble for Ableton Live, NI Maschine, Novation 25 SL MKII, NI F1 with case, case for X1, UDG case for control vinyl and ton of music. Spending been tight since I'm starting my own business.
Thought I was finally done for awhile only to find my headphones cracking.
So I've got from now till payday to decide between AIAIAI TMA-1s, Senn HD25s and A&H XD53s

Currently
-Soldering custom length cables for everything
-Building a PC with a 6 core i7 dedicated for production
-Planning on picking up Pro Tools 10
-Planning on picking up an MPC (2500 or 5000, not sure yet… wanted one for a long time)
-Planning on picking up probably M Audio BX8 D2s and a SBX10 subwoofer to add to the BX5s on my DJ setup, since I’m facing into the room and the BX5s are basically just facing the corner. Also because the walls and ceiling are thick.
-I was thinking about buying Technics still, but I'm really happy with the STR8-150s. My only complaint with them is the color, which was an easy fix (okay not easy, but within my skill level)
I blow stuff up
I'm really happy that my RGAS for music seems to have gone away. Maschine + Pro Tools 10 + the few soft synths I'm using really seems like it's working for the time being.
I'm sure I'll rue the day I can afford a better interface and hardware synths……but thankfully the high(ish) barrier to entry has me holding off on that one.
