    been seeing the rp6's around a lot lately, and got to checking them out today after reading this. apparently they color the mix so much that they don't translate well to other systems.

    yea but it sounds like those people are talking about the version 1 model, not the G2, still I am going to look into this further and come to the root of this

    Fair enough, £300 monitors are gonna colour the mix a bit, that is inevitable , old adage of get what you pay for applies here.

    All i'll say is youtube Flux Pavilion - all his tunes are produced on original spec RP6's

    Not sure about conversation rates, but Yamahe HS80 and fostex PM1's are pretty good

    I'm not looking for precision. I know anything under grand each will color the signal.

    I'm just looking for something decent to compose music (no mixing or mastering) and dj at home at low levels.
