Instant doubles??? What does that mean?
Instant Doubles:
Track A playing on Deck A
Hit Instant Double button on Deck B, and it copies the track playing on Deck A over to Deck B, including the play head position, and all newly created cue points. Absolutely essential for Hip-Hop mixing, Turntablism and Juggling.
It has to work both ways (IE - Hit Instant Double on Deck B to copy from Deck A to Deck B, and hit Instant Double on Deck A to copy from Deck B to Deck A).
It allows you to juggle between tracks without back cueing all the time, and without having to go into the playlist/library to load a duplicate track.
Awesome for cutting/scratching/juggling in relative mode!
Trust me - an absolute MUST for any DVS ( Digital Vinyl Solution) system.

At this moment you could do scratching from any clip in live allowing rapid load into any deck (not limited to 2).
About cueing ask Bento or Juan, they know more about how to manage these info in maxforlive... (I believe it could be possible with select and float?)

"Instant Doubles" as you put it sould be a fairly simple feature to add. Currently I do something similar, just with my cue points. However I see how the "instant doubles" could be a great way to spontaneously get into juggling.
HOWEVER, I believe this is possible, and I will prove it. Give me a few weeks and I'll post a video of how amazing Ms Pinky M4L is at the moment.
Juansolo - I doff my hat to you. I'm really looking forward to your patch!

Right - have any of you M4L Pinky Ninjas found a way of using .mp3 tags for loading clips into Pinky? Just spent a while sorting all my tags for my other DVS software, and remembered that Live doesn't read 'em. Is there a way to browse in M4L/Pinky using tags?

Actually the workflow is quite different... let me explain with a question.
Why to implement a playlist inside "device" if it (she) works with clips and Live browser?
Is preferably demand Ableton to implement tag searching and continue working on other things.
Nowadays We usually make a "specific" folder for session due to access "waveform" from Pinky objects who needs (she is a lady) these folders in the route of max to work fine.
(almost I work in this way since revised patch from masthalee)
Guys?

Thanks for the response Mudo - and I agree, Live should have a better browser that supports tags. I guess my question was really - Is there a work around using M4L that allows you to load tracks using the existing tags, rather than loading from Lives Session View or Browser.
