Hey guys.
I've been searching the forum to see if anyone raised this topic, but either nobody didn't, or I'm a search dyslectic. Either way, here goes.
I was brainstorming about how to eliminate vibrations from my dear VCI 100 (legendary pitchbend disruption from jog wheels) and prevent my laptop from vibrating to a crash.
The easy solution was foam, but it's big and it takes up space in my already full backpack.
Enter silicone.
I made silicone pillows from regular hardware store silicone for bathroom sealing and such.
I tried it out last night at a club where I have 4 bass boxes bigger than me, lined up right in front of the DJ booth. It worked flawlessly. I didn't get one single pitch bend shake during my whole set.
Has anyone done this? I'd be more than happy to write a how to, for anyone who wants. But it's not really brain surgery.
Anyway, from now on it's all good vibrations
