    Default VCI 100SE firmware upgrade

Yesterday I received my update kit
I have downloaded the update software and I could complete all the steps, but there is no option to upload the Firmware.

    Q. How can I run the firmware upgrade software in basic, so the steps match the video tutorial?

At 2:40 in this video is where you load the firmware.

No that is the only step that is missing.
When I hit next there is no option to upload a file.

But after the download I good not find the "basic" option of the program there was only one way to start the program "C:\Program Files (x86)\Renesas\FDT4.05\FDT.exe"

It should be in your start menu. Start>programs>Renases>Basic.

    Thanks...
I'm still not used to Windows 7 after the setup it shows a quick start to "Flash Development Toolkit 4.05"
I didn't realized to look in the Renesas folder and assumed the basic option was localized in the program.

I just had to look better, but thanks for helping me out.

Can the error be that I have a controller that runs on firmware version 1.2?
Also the link to the Flash Development Toolkit links to V.4.05

You have to be certain that no buttons or jogs are touching anything so that the VCI can get into boot mode. I use rolls of tape to support the VCI letting the edges of the tape only touch the metal faceplate.

Also adjusting the delay in the advacncedsetup.exe file seems to help lots of people.

Tanks for the tip I had put the controller on a pillow. After I replaced the pillow for a few books the problem was solved. Maybe the can place a side-note about this in the video.
