Anyone care to give examples of sonic combos to see exactly what you think a sonic combo is. Obviousley i understand that some of these will be peoples secrets but it would be good for people learning to see exactly what you mean by a sonic combo.

Yeah pretty sure i do the sonic combo thing too. I have about six playlists with sets of 5-8 songs that work really well together. I use alot of the techniques ean golden has shown on this site with these playlists. Having these playlists makes it alot easier to impress when needed

Then i have one playlist with a ton of songs i just really like or i know others will like. I can just pick songs from here when needed and chuck them in. Not mixed as well as the playlists but its still acceptable.

It's worked out pretty well the few times i have played with other people around.

Teachers always told us this line whenever we would write essays, but it could also be applied to DJing

If you're recording then preparing is definitely a good idea, that way you can get the best mixes, but if you're just having fun, then just mess about and see what works. If it fails, then you know not to do it again.

nowhere near. we've had 3+ year old threads necrobumped before, and this forum's only been open for just over 3 years.
