Wat heb je gehoord? Om een beetje in geheimtaal te praten, hehe...
Maybe we'll get a first look of the X2?
I've heard some things too but I'm under NDA.
I'm special too.
this game isn't fun if people don't drop hints.

NI already has the same 3 versions: Maschine, Mikro, and iMaschine. Akai just dropped all 3 at once instead of releasing the first one when it was almost ready.
Agreed.
Plus, IIRC, there are already a few small workflow benefits to the MPC if they did nothing but copy the MPC2500 into software that runs on a Mac. I think the MPC's sampling works a little better, but I haven't gotten that hands on with one…only seen it done.
Plus it has twice as many encoders. If they auto-assign to plugins in a more meaningful way, that might make an improvement anyway.
But, xone's right…it's likely to be more expensive. I'd guess MSRP 2k, MAP, 1.5k ish. And that might not be affordable with all the other shit I'm trying to save up for.
Other than "more crazy stuff," it already has all that. I mean…how many instruments would you want…they've already got FM, Subtractive, and several sample-based instruments. And their effects already sound better than every other piece of DJ software. They already have a great sounding time stretching algorithm, it's just that most people don't know how to use it…and they've had cuepoints since version 1…people just don't know how to use them because they're stuck in the framework of DJ software.
Bleh. I'd preorder an Empath-like mixer with an SSL sound card in it as long as it'd run TP and Maschine…and I'd probably consider switching to SSL.
