    Wax paper under whatever. I'm still trying to get some PR slip mats.

    I used to do this, but realized the wax paper was leaving wax residue on my platters, which I had to scrape off with a razor.

    I'm using the bog standard stock numark ones, and not really having any problems with them, I seem to be able to scratch with them just fine too. granted, the torque on the TTX is pretty high, so I can be quite heavy handed. Do proper scratching slipmats make that much of a difference?

    tbh I have had butter rugs for a few years I am not a scratch dj I mix on a dvs mostly they are not bad for mixing they just slip more you adjust to that pretty quick its only on true vinyl that you should use a thicker matt due to rumble

    go with the rugs imho

    i never had this issue...but i am not a scratch DJ either...
