I spread that on facebook, and trust me judging the feedback, not only DJ care.
About the ON/OFF debate : Ok about lighting and angle on CDJs, but what about the mixer ? Vu-meters on all channels and master are off, lighting or not we should see some colors.
Hard to think he had the balls to do that, but well, it looks he did.
This film is pretty old btw, like 5 years old or even more, because the layout of the channel (french TV, i'm french) is pretty old.
And it's not like tons of popular singers have not lip sync'ed many of their performances?
A pre-recorded mix is the DJ's equivelant to lip syncing in my book. It's possibly a DJ sinn amongst DJs, but if you see David's travel itinerary, you'd have to just let it go, if it only happens on very rare occasions.
And possibly they had some really freaky technical troubles to begin with and had to play a pre-recorded mix from an iPhone or iPod just to make the crowd happy? Lol!
Just sayin....

Our Mixes: Mixcloud - Soundcloud
Hehe...yeah. We're just beginning.
The Guetta Conspiracy: Le merde devient réel
(shitty google translation for shit's getting real)
HP Envy 14 Beats Edition, Traktor Pro 2, NI Kontrol S4, NI Kontrol X1, NI Kontrol F1, AIAIA TMA-1
I don't know the idiom "shit's getting real" but the word-by-word translation would be : La merde devient réelle.
shit/merde is a "female" noun so you got to add "le" at the end of "real/réel"
I hope you enjoyed the french lesson of the day.
He clearly says his set is going to end soon, and he's not like "sorry it crashed we finish with an ipod", he's faking cueing on his headphones...freaky technical troubles to begin with
I swear that if i see him in the streets in Paris one day, i'll ask him why the fuck is he doing that, and if he's proud of faking mixing.

The following wall of text is off topic () :
Well, i looked what it means in the urban dictionnary, and a good translation to "shit's getting real" would be :
"Bienvenue dans la cour des grands"
Explanation. In schools in France (at least the one i've been to) between the age of 6/7 and 11/12 you are in the same place. But most of the time the playground is divided. One for younger kids, one for older kids.
When you are moving from the "young kids playground" to the "older kids playground", we can say "Welcome in the older kids playground", which is the translation of "Bienvenue dans la cour des grands".
Basically, shit's getting serious.
(is "basically" the good word to use here ? need a native english speaker to correct me)
That was the off-topic french lesson of the day number 2.
ummmm yea ..... not impressed.
and tons of us really work hard to put on a real LIVE show....
