I could tell you, but then i would have to make u disappear... lol. I can honestly say i would of paid much more, the guy who sold it to me was a hip hop dj who was ignorant of the powers of the mixer and had no appreciation for what it could do. lets just say i paid more for my maschine then i did for the Zero 8 (and i buy all my new gear at dealer cost)

How do you find it's soundcard? i've read bad reviews at the time it got discontinued and that convinced me to stay away from it (i love the midi side and I/Os on it tho).

i can't say I've used the firewire sound card more then a few times, but the times i have used it it was great, no flaws, so glad i have my mac because there is no asio to worry about (GO CORE AUDIO!)

The APC20 was originally mapped to traktor, i do use a second laptop with ableton and the apc20 once in a while, however most of the time when I'm not using ableton then the apc20 is just used as an led status monitor for ableton, or when i use it with the maschine for traktor then its to control my efx units. its pretty redundant but i like having more then one button to do the same thing.

as far as the nanopad i wasnt a big fan of it, liked the akai lpd8 much better.

It drives me nuts that numark discontinued the hdx and the cdx. Technology would be so much cheaper now for them to rebuild something like this. Numark's behind in traktor world. Give me a V7 cdj that's compatible with traktor, or bring back some updated hdx's.

same here. its one of the better units they've made. While the V7 was kind of a flop as well the reason i believe the v7 flopped like it did was more because serato itch.
