Well as they are new, time will tell but, i cant see them lasting any longer or shorter than MK1. Same material, same pressing technique i guess, just a different code pressed onto them.

are the cdj timecodes also updated with the mk2

i wonder if they resolving the CDJ cue-ing issue (tapping cue on the cdj does not trigger songs like normal cds do)

I replace them every 6-10 months, they get used on average an hour a day, every day. I still have my originals, they still work fine too.

Setup your tonearm correctly and they'll last for aaaaages.

it's more about the condition of your styli than how long the vinyl will last. I have vinyl that is 70+ years old, pressing techniques haven't changed so much, the composition has changed a little (with styrenes being introduced in the late 60's).

The Traktor TCV's are in no way different to a regular LP, 12" etc. so treat them with respect, keep them clean and look after your styli (correct weight, tracking, ride height) and the TCV's should last a lifetime.

Mistreat them, they won't last long. I have original TCV's in many colours/weights and they all play perfectly still, some are 2 years old

Consistent cueing /scratching at the same point, will wear down the groove sides, causing an effect called cue burn, but it's nowhere near as detectable as with a real "audio" vinyl. This cue burn can be reduced to a minimum again by carefully setting up your gear.

I ALWAYS setup the decks before I play, including taking a spirit level to each turntable to ensure they are perfectly flat (often a cause for skipping) and using the correct amount of anti-skate / weight / ride hight for the carts I'm using. Do this every time you play, and your TCV's should last years and years.

THIS! So many people set the tone arm weight wayyyy too high.

This damages both the stylus and the record. 2.5-3.5 grams tops.

Your needles and records will last so much longer when your equipment is setup properly.

This is a software issue and will be fixed in the next update (which this thread is all about!)
