That's actually what I'm planning on. I use my HD-25s now, and it's not like I'm getting rid of them…but IEMs are just better in a lot of ways if your mixer has a cue/master blend control for the headphone signal.

Well I've had the Sony MDR-V700's and they're not bad for the price point but like people have said they're structurally weak so they're now my studio headphones since I just ordered the TMA-1's from the DJTT store.

I was wondering why the Beats are never mentioned and I wanted people opinion. I feel like they clean up a lot when I'm listening to my iPod but what is the "DJ" opinion?

Over priced, not very strong build quality and not the greatest of sound quality. And they look silly :P

You kind of answered your own question. (disclaimer, and comes with ZERO opinion attached) I've never used a set, but I would imagine they color the sound (All cans/monitors do to some extent). Typically you want cans/monitors that have a flat frequency response so that you can actually hear how the tracked was mixed, without it being manipulated artificially.
    Cheers!

Plus I'm with the others in that for the price, there are FAR better options out there.
    Cheers!
