and that sound card is gonna be a beast!!! why would you want it without the sound card??!!
MacBook Pro, HD25's, Midi-Fighter Classic, Pioneer DDJ-RX , Rekordbox
Quite the opposite for me. I wont replace my X1(s) but it would be nice to have a small footprint controller with a soundcard inside.
I have this cool thing were i put an Audio 2 inside the X1 case, zip it up with the headphone cable and USB cable popping out of the back and put the X1 on top.
Bar set with just laptop and X1 (Audio2 inside)
This new K2 will be a neat little job for a bar set.
Just on 2 Decks and use the 2 encoders as Jogs to seek position. Use 2 channels for the Deck mixer controls and 2 channels for the FX on those decks.
Also if you're linking two together you'll most likely only be using the soundcard in one so it's a little wasteful.
God damn it's pretty though...

Says bag/stand thing included.
I can almost promise there will not be a version without a soundcard, it is already $240 which is around what the X1 was when it first came out and at least $100-$150 less than the 1D. There is no way A&H will make anything cheaper it wouldn't make sense for them.
Agreed. No point making this without a card just to reduce it by £50. Pointless at the price point its already at.
Having a soundcard inside does not exclude any market.
No soundcard excludes a huge market. The noob.
This is the next level to the NI X1.
NI just need to release something similar with a soundcard and it will be better than the K2 because as good as the K2 is, it is only better than the X1 cus of the audiocard.
Isn't anyone thinking, that it could be mapped to a perfect little 4 channel mixer?
