true - but this is for itch and not SL ofc. only rane can make scratch units for SL i think?

i think new controllers being for itch is a win/win anyway. means we can use itch if wanted (which i'd like to try) and if not just map it to traktor. jog wheel sensitivity is the only/main area where NI's hid seems to win and i can't see them making that protocol common knowledge. not sure anyone is trying to decode it either. can't be encrypted like the tsi stuff i presume/hope tho?

yup i know it's for itch but the main point is that NI is trying cutting away endorsing traktor on controllers from other companies as well as ceasing their scratch certification on mixers on most companies as well. i heard from local supplier that NI is coming up with more range of their own hardwares and stuff. i've yet to try serato itch. hmmmmm would'nt mind trying out itch though.

Knocks the competition into a cocked hat. Everything I've been waiting for. Top job Vestax.

ah sure. i can see why they would i guess, now they're getting into the hardware game so much, but it's probably short sighted and will let serato gain market share.

i'd love to try itch, but not going to buy an itch-compatible controller just so i can... still tempted by the twitch tho.

with all these new changes maybe we'll be able to buy itch in future? the intro thing anyway?

heh i don't think the intro would be a good idea as i think the interface would be too simple for us but the twitch is very tempting. if i ever wanna try using itch then i guess it be using twitch. but very tempted with twitch. maybe we can try it off from friends who owns itch related controllers or something. somehow for itch 2.0 seems good. but then im so used with traktor and how much traktor can somehow using itch seems like a downgrade in terms of customization to my own workflow.

itch could never replace traktor for me, not with all the multi controller midimasher custom madness i'm into at the moment but i woudn't mind using itch in a more traditional kind of way. tho to do that i'd probably prefer something with jogs - ah well... maybe a 2nd hand mixtrack pro if the lite version works with those. depends just how much they've cut out for the lite version ofc... i'd still want some filters and echo's etc.

    VCI400 looks the absolute tits.

Genuinely exciting, you need those extra buttons.

If DJTT can make it HD (jogs and faders) a la VC100 1.4FW then we are in business

wow... just watched the video that chrismac just posted here (and then deleted?) which is on the blog... this controller is pure midi porn. first controller that would make me consider shelling out that sort of cash. looks like is has soooo much more potential than the S4. still looks like a massive beast tho wonder how it'll fair with space issues in clubs... same as the S4 i guess?
