i have a feeling it's xone's version of the x1 a more compact modular controller as compared to the 1ds. it's just a guess. therefore you can bring this around together with the db4 for a lighter and more portable set-up as the db4 itself has a lighter weight compared to other mixers.

the rotary knobs/encoders shown in the video appear to be the endless push type A&H uses for loops/EFX. i.e there are no indicators. Also I thought at first the blurred out image at :23 was level LEDs...not so sure about that now.

I dont like the two rotaries there. still opened be to be blown away, but doubt it.

Everyone hated the way the 3-band EQ on the DB4 is placed when we saw the first pics (myself included).
Now I am in love with that mixer


Cant wait to see what the 'thing' in the second video is. Hoping for a controller for Traktor (since controlling traktor with just the DB4's midi functions is still feeling a bit off to me).

If it is a controller I just hope they use better buttons than the Xone: 1D. After using NI Kontrol buttons I couldn't go back to anything like they used on the 1/2/3/4D.
