That above was recorded in Traktor with an external mixer. It's how I usually operate. Have you done a mix train? the most important thing is to not clip anywhere in the chain. We can always boost the volume if needed, but we can't fix clipping. Are ya'll handing of a wav file each time?

thanks, no it's my first one. all my traks are 320kbs, would you all prefer I use wav's?.

I've just started to use a xone 22 routing record out back to laptop mic in and record with audacity @ 16bit 48000hz. It's taken me a couple of days but got levels right I think. no clipping but loud. I might turn it down a bit for this though. I could always revert back to recording in traktor but would prefer to use my new baby(xone 22). I've had a look and can't route back into otus sound card as line in/mic in is not surpported in traktor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have studied most of the posts on this in the forum. Just worried I might miss something.

You can record at 320, the thing that gets people is if your first and every guy after you rencodes the whole thing to 320 each time then by the end your set has been encoded three times.

The best way to do it is to cut the end off the mix you get from the DJ before you. Then you mix into that tail end and paste the whole thing back together when your done. Send it to the next DJ and they cut the tail off yours and then paste back into the mix they got which would be yours and the DJ before you.
