Frank, I'm interested, how did you get Ableton to run on a 64 bits machine? I'm looking at switching and Ableton is the only thing stopping me from it. Would be much appreciated!

the only thing ive noticed wrong for me with the script is it also stops the windows search, i use this quite a bit, at the risk of sounding lazy, im really not im just shit at reading stuff like scripts, can someone point out to me which part i need to remove from the script to allow this to still work?

    cheers

run it in 32 bit mode? I have no idea. It just worked. Is this a common problem? I just installed not too long ago.

as a guess its the line with "Wsearch" in, a search for search would have found it though

re: ableton and 64bit... works fine here on win7 64bit.

I think that Ableton just doesn't natively support multi-core processing, which is unfortunate.

It does support multi-core processing, it's an option in the preferences.

Hmmm, maybe I should just test it on a 64 bits system then. I've read that it doesn't natively support 64 bits, but there's only 1 way to find out
