too bad I already got my scratch update free as a previous owner of Traktor Scratch...
some new vinyls would have been nice.

Yeh i kept my Traktor Scratch Duo license to get my free upgrade, suppose it meant I kept all my timecode aswell, can't imagine people who paid for the update are going to be to happy!

Or people who already have an S4 and still have to pay for the upgrade whereas if they'd waited a while they'd have got it free.

Totally different situation there. That was a misunderstanding of what was said, this is a attempt by NI to sell some more S4's by offering a reward to those that purchase in the correct time frame.
