with the poor implementation of the 14bit u mentioned before, do u think the pitch faders of the VCI 100 will have a better resolution than they currently do?

I do not think there should be any big rush for 1.4, 14 bit bit midi in Traktor is nothing like it is in Itch. I have a VCI-300 and the pitch seems no better than with midi.trans

Hey Folks, I have the official word on the fabled 1.4 firmware release. I don't think its going to end up happening after all unless someone comes up with a way to reverse engineer the firmware and create one ourselves.

it looks like Vestax is unlikely to support 14bit midi on the vci-100 in the near future.

I kind of figured that. I think the 100 will soon be replaced by the VCI-400.

bummer .. i guess they are also not interested in open sourcing their firmware? if they want to talk to someone experienced in open source and leveraging open source communities for the benefit of a commercial enterprise, feel free to direct them towards me. i wrote my thesis at the university on exactly this topic and i am currently managing the upcoming 5.3 version of PHP.
