he thought you meant 80's Post Punk
^^ aahh ya i can see how that might've been confusing..
I love 80s punk and post-punk is fantastic...
I was referring to the 90s+ punk bands that basically copy what the real talent did in the 80s but never really innovated within the genre. Terrible music.
Yeah, you are very right, duerr, very right.
TBH mostly just bands, MGMT, Santogold, Animal Collective, my friends.. Dan Smith (danielsmithmusic.net), also solo people like Jason Mraz etc
Old school rave, laidback house, epic trance and choice film soundtracks - Anyone noticed the theme tune from Finding Nemo is luscious? Philip Glass and Thomas Newman are the kings of emotional music.
And for me, it's all about the melody (which is why I do not like most of this minimal bollox).

The Disco Biscuits
bring on summer tour!!! i'll be playing in the lot.
My roots where in classical, played violin, viola for the Toronto junior Ochestra. After a while got a gig with a marching band with trumpet, then moved to playing pipes for a pipes and drums marching band, failed at this, so started playing snare with the same band.
Opened up my dads classic and prog rock vinyl collection and got deep into this.
Later on, was exposed to popping, which brought me onto funk, which I attempted to start producing some of my own. Found out that I could do it, but never had enough people with the same interest to play the instruments I could not, so put that on hold for now.
Then after getting tired of recking vinyls left right and center, started looking @ the computer DJ area, discovering my inner electro love and started to listing to a lot of nu-disco and electro dance. Being now loving in Montreal, second largest population of French speaking people in the world, I got a good taste for French electro (Ed Banger ext).
