After a month long wait my midi fighter cue master landed today, worked fine on first try and now only a couple of hours later it seems I have the same LED of death issue, rubbish!

If I open up Audio Midi setup in OSX, the Midi Fighter is no where to be seen, so I'm pretty sure it's the same driver issue. Tried different USB leads, everything else works fine apart from the Midi Fighter.

After spending some time searching the forums, this post seems to be only place to get some answers but on a Windows system.

Is there a Thread I'm missing that gives clear instructions on how to over come this issue on a Mac?

Nice one to Autorobo for detailing a fix to this problem on a PC, especially considering the four months it's taken you to solve it! After just 4 hours off faffing around I'm so pissed off, I'm all but ready to take a hammer to the bloody thing.

    @Dubba Dutch
Im sorry to say but I can't help you when it comes to mac.
I used to own a Mac book pro and this is before I owned a Midi Fighter so I would have no idea as how to begin to solve this problem.
My only idea at the moment is use a buddys Windows PC possibly.

Okay ... I finally got access to Windows 7 64bit machine. Only had Windows 7 32bit and I mainly run Macs.

    So I followed these steps:-

    1) Put jumper on boot
    2) Plug in USB to MF and PC

I then got the following prompt ... http://sikosis.com/mf/device-driver-not-installed.jpg

    3) Put jumper on reset
    4) Remove jumper on reset

Assuming at this point I'm in DFU mode. (Does this stand for Don't F--- Up ?)

    5) Downloaded and Installed Flip
    6) I then copied the signed drivers into appropriate directory

Device Manger looks like this ... http://sikosis.com/mf/device-manager.jpg

    7) Run Flip ... http://sikosis.com/mf/running-flip.jpg

    8) Thought I'd install and run the MF Update and see what it says

So, I'm at a loss as to what to do now. I feel like I wasted my money and have a fancy paperweight instead.

Hey sikosis - contact support and they will provide you with a guide/instructions on how to fix it. There is an application which works on OSX which can be used to bring the midifighter back to the stage where it will communicate with the Midi Fighter Utility again

Sure no worries ... I've reopened the closed ticket from August last year. It's just awaiting assignment.

Just wanted to say, this has all been sorted now. The good guys at DJ Tech Tools sent me a replacement Midifighter board and I'm back in action. Oh yeah ...
