    Default barcodebeats

hey guys found this program on http://barcodebeats.hobye.dk
i just started to get some info from it, but right know i am totally impressed by the idea!
you should check it out for urself.
    little explaination on their site:

"The barcode system was programmed in Multimedia Fusion 2 (Clickteam). The system consists of 3 basic components: The Scanning, The Music Generation and the Music Modification. To reach the final state of the system, it had gone through about five major alterations , and countless minor iterations. The system has a number of modes which each apply a certain behaviour; we will explain the workings of standard and the DJ mode."

just downloaded it and now iám playing a little bit with it. lets what it can do...

Quote: Be aware that limited sound samples are provided with the program and new samples should be added.

So you can test the program with the included samples, but without a scanner you probably wont get very far.

looks like it simply uses a string of numbers to work out a rhythmic pattern. i have a scanner at work that would do it. just need the algorithms. honestly, not worth the money i think.
