Just discovered that the wheels wont work with the new paint on them.
They are totally unresponsive unless I touch the metalscrews or the outer plastic (currently pitch bend).

Anyone else that painted their jogwheels, what kind of paint and clear coat did you use?

So i got kinda board of looking at the cheap fake carbon fiber on the typhoon and decided to give it a face lift today. Only the finest fake wood contact on the body and jog wheels. I was kinda surprised it actually goes quite well with the red knobs and trim almost has a slight domo feel.
@iamnotadj

Thanks! it was a kinda pain to do... well nicely. I was quite shocked at then end, i figured it would be horribly tacky or kinda interesting. The only thing I'm noticing now is that one wheel is very sluggish compared to the other. I re greased them with probably the wrong thing (i used bicycle bearing/chain grease pretty similar to machinist lube) But i think i might have slightly bent the cotter pin (think that's what its called) the flat key piece that holds the rod the jog wheel rests on in place. I'll have to wait for tomorrow to check too many screws.
Nice work iamnotadj!
looks really good - for some reason it looks very nintendo-ish to me.
