no bullshit, the only reason i wound up with the dice is because I had to finish the thing to do a show and the only fader caps I could find that would fit my faders were five bucks apiece, which would have meant forty bucks i didn't/don't have. I found dice at the billiard supply spot for a buck apiece....and it's a six channel board....yep, it's got a bit too much of that DIY kitsch but they're actually great to play out with. super chunky, not too wide, easy to see. but shitfaced party people seem to want to grab ahold and shoot craps, so keep an eye out.

    Default My BCR2000

Over the weekend I painted my BCR2000. The inspiration? Maelcom, Zion (where all they play is dub) and the Marcus Garvey from William Gibson's novel, Neuromancer. I put a little cut out of King Tubby on the side, just to remind me who started it all- give honor to whom honor is due.

It is fluorescent paint, so will glow under black light. I am really happy with it. I am adding labels tonight with a Dymo gun. Punk-Dub mashup.

    Blessings,
    xris

That looks good, might need your sunglasses in the booth though.

    Sarasin/ Photojojo,
Thanks a bunch. Ha, ha. I am using it with Ableton as an enhancement to my drumming, so you will probably never see me in a booth. I respect what you all do, and would love to play live with a DJ. I am using the BCR2000 to start up ambient loops and as a controller for pad-triggered samples.

I will post some of my mappings and templates sometime in the future (if anyone is interested). Technology has finally caught up with my dreams.

    Blessings,
    xris
