Recommend me speakers ... Halp!

The sub came with ZERO papers.

It is better to have these at ear level or maybe just putting them on a table will do? Is there some kind of frequency black evil magic for placement? having them at ear level would have the speaker right in the middle to bump it with the head so maybe putting it higher than head (6.5 feet) but slightly facing down...

An interesting recommendation I have used regarding sub placement...

Put the sub where you would be standing when you are listening, and then stand in different areas of the room. The spot in the room where the bass seems the most intense is going to be the best place to put the sub, so that it focuses on the listening area.


As for the monitors, flat, and about head level is ideal, but slightly elevated from head level, angled down definitely has its advantages.


The basic rule of thumb for monitor placement is:

If the speaker itself had an LED laser sight on it, then you should angle the speakers so that their LED laser's intersect exactly where the center of your head will be when listening.
