Whatever the new version of Traktor Scratch Pro is that has sample decks and comes with a 4 channel sound card.
A 4 channel mixer (possibly an Ecler Evo 4 though I'd want to hear what the EQ sounds like before I decide or whatever the latest Pioneer thing is).
    Stanton ST150s.
A traktor kontrol X1 (with the effects section remapped to control the sample decks).
    HD25-1 II's.
A top of the range Lenovo laptop.
A bunch of traktor vinyl in a series of ridiculous colours.
    A transit van.
The best sound system I can fit inside said van.
A tiny bar in Brighton near the Easy Hours shop.
Some old school sound system. Something that would be used in the BBC in the late 80s. Solid wooden boxes with an unknown brand name that weigh an absolute ton and sound perfect. Beautiful.

    Fuck yeah.

So you may want to have a look at those classics:
    JBL 4530 (http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/3...ops6rowsd2.jpg)
JBL 4520 (http://www.sound-pit.jp/vintage/amer...jbl-4520-2.jpg) notice the huge plate horn (JBL 2395 alike) on the top...

Not to mention the JBL 4550 & ol' Concert Serie... those were the days

I'm familiar with the operating system and I don't have any issues running traktor on a PC so I'll stick with it. I'm more likely to switch to some Linux distro than Max OS.

I'll have to put the ones you recommended either in the mobile van rig or in that bar where where care a little more about punch and a little less about clarity

I worked a lot with those JBL subs in the past. There's quite a few place in here who still have & use the 4530. They sound really good. Obviously, they don't use the "Plate horn" But those were good & popular in the late 70's on the top of a 4550 (f*ckin huge box btw).... when Bryston 3B, Bryston 4B were the "Standard" ... along with Technics SL1100
