    dream setup would be a few technics sl-1200 , a rotary mixer such as a rane or urei ... , huge stack of house vinyls (80's , 90's ...) . No computers , no cdj's ...

Would be more for fun then to gig with obviously lol.

I would buy a club. Or better yet, build one. Massive, think Space but bigger. 3 seperate booths.

    Booth 1:
    Xone DB4
    Xone 92
    DJM 2000

Each mixer would have 2 CDJ 2000s hooked up, or 4 depending on the DJs request.

    Booth 2:
2 high end iMacs, one with Traktor, other with Serato
    4 laptop stands
    2xAudio 10
    2xSL4
    4 X1s
    4 Xone K2s
    4 Midi Fighter Pros
    Xone DB4
    Xone 92
    DJM 2000
    4 CDJ 2000s
    2 1200s

    Booth 3:
    4 1200s
    Xone 92
    Some sexy rotary mixer

I'd have a massive Funktion One system, foam and confetti canons.
    BCF 2000
    Traktor Pro 2
    Kontrol X1

3x CDJ2000 Hooked upto a DJM900 (running with TSP (2 is crap imo))
Pair of gold techs hooked upto a DB4 and an SL3 with hundreds of old Trance and techno vinyl. Both hooked up to a 15" i7 MBP on a crane stand, and Funktion one monitors.

For production i would have a state of the art Windows PC hooked up to 2/3 27" samsung monitors running FL studio, komplete 8, synleth1 and maschine. I would have a 16 channel studio mixer, Virus TI and a Moog voyager XL hooked up to 4 yamaha hrsm8 monitors
    DJM800 | 2xCDJ2000 | RMX1000 | Adidas HD25's
    2011 MBP | Traktor 2.6 | Kontrol S4 | Scratch Live | SL2
Mac Pro | Ableton | Access Virus C | Maschine

To add to my ever growing rigs i'd add.

    For Production;

Moog Slim Phatty w/ Rack ears
    Clavia Nord Lead X2 Rack
    Dave Smith Prophet '08 Rack
    Genelec 8050A Monitors
    Apogee Ensemble
    UAD Satellite Quad FireWire

    For Live;
NI Kontrol X1 so i've got a pair
    Denon DNX-1700 Mixer
    Pair of Technic 1210 MK5G's
    KRK Rokit RP8's

    For general media/video use;
    Mac Pro 8 Core, 12 GB DDR3 Ram, 4x 1TB HD
    2 X 27" Cinema Screens
    Wacom Intous4 Pen Tablet
    Apogee Duet 2
46" Samsung LED Smart TV as a third monitor

That'd probably do, fingers crossed i'll have ticket most of it off by the beginning of next year.
Production - 24" iMac. Digidesign 003+ Rack. Genelec 8020A Monitors. UA 710 Twin Finity Preamp. Many Microphones.

In my miami waterfront house with private club lounge room thing:

    Funktion-One Dance Stacks

    Each stack would have:
    DS210 × 1
    DS15 × 1
    F215 × 2
    IB218 × 1
    IH-D × 1

    For booth monitors:
    2x Funktion one Resolution 2
    2x Funktion one Minibass 212

all gear in custom built DJ booths
    setup one (my setup):
    Xone: DB4
    Xone: K2s
    Maschine
2X CDJ-2000 and 2x Technics M5G which hide away when not in use
    mac pro
    couple pairs of HDJ-2000s

setup two ('the club standard' - you know, for when I have friends and big name DJs perform at my house )

    DJM-900 Nexus
    4X CDJ-2000
    4X Technics M5G
    Rane SL4
mixer switchable to Xone: V6 or Xone: 92 at DJs choice

Full Lighting rig with LED video walls and all the usual Martin fixtures

    Production:

    doepfer modular synth

    collection of moog synths
in fact I'll just buy Moby's collection of analog goodness:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9q48UlfD1w
    mac pro
some fancy ass studio monitors (I'm not up to date on what the best is, can anyone tell me?)
4 ipad 2s - two running Touchable and the others for ToushOSC

i could go on forever with production gear since you can never have too much and there is always something to add unlike with DJ gear which gets redundant

I would continue to use the rest of the money to hire a string of DJs and producers to come live in my guest villa where they can produce in my studio and throw parties in my private club spec'd above and they periodically teach me and I get to see their workflow...

I've come to a point where I really don't desire any more gear (I'd like to go nuts on a bunch of analog stuff but that's more collecting than any real intent to use it), but having a proper workspace environment for it all is something that I'm much more interested in, as a lot of my stuff is just strewn about at the moment. I guess money isn't really the limiting factor, either; I just need to go about actually laying out exactly what I want and getting it built.

Having a desk with adjustable height like this would be nice -

Love this vid from 2008 showing Laidback Luke's studio, shows that there's no need for anything fancy to make good tracks (and even more impressive is how much time it takes him) - [ame="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7296x_joachim-garraud-making-of-invasion_music"]Dailymotion - Joachim Garraud - Making Of Invasion - Part 7/9 - une vidéo Music@@AMEPARAM@@http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video@@AMEPARAM@@video[/ame]
