Whoa whoa whoa- people actually do that? What advantage does it have over using headphones at all? I'd imagine that becomes pretty damn impossible with more noisy styles of music where you can't clearly see the beats.

But why? What do you learn from the colours that you don't learn by listening to it in your headphones before you drop it in?

no, i just wasn't totally blown away by a blurry video of traktor with coloured waveforms and bar skanks flopping around.

thats what were saying. you wont need the headphones as much if you already know the track. you might want to know if you need to raise the highs or lower the bass when you drop it in, though, so thats where the colors are helpful.

with serato, trust me, you can see the beats.

and i wouldnt say serato dj's hate on that. i mean its a serato feature.

but a loud outspoken minority of the dj community hates on any advancement that changes the game at all.

    aka dinosaurs.

whats funny is this is coming from a guy thats turning 37 this month, who started spinning at 14. im fine with "waveriding". im also willing to bet im older than most of the people that have a problem with "waveriding" and sync in general.

it tells you what frequencies are heard in that particular part of the waveform (ie: when a hihat kicks in)
