Thinking of crosfader assign buttons, shift button, 4 FX button for each deck, (like in traktor, the X1 only has two...)

+1, though double deck selection mode.... I don't know..would just do a deck a,c on the left and b,d selection on the right. Or, if both faders are needed
for 1 deck,just have a single deck selector possible.
But I'm guessing this could also be done with modifier buttons instead of hardware presence of deck selectors.

I'm gonna be totally honest, for me something like an M4 would be a totally perfect.(Mixerpart of the S4)

I dont have a BCR2000 or used one, but on this forum and the native instruments forum I saw some threads of ppl complaining about glitching lights and so on.
I thought so that it was them doing something wrong, cause mostly I've heard good stuff about them.
shame that they look so ugly (my opinion)
If I'd buy one, I'd make a custom case right away, if possible.

I think it's weird no company has a modular kind of serie.
everything can ofcourse be mapped, but something like we're talking about here isn't out there yet.

Glitching lights is only a problem of the way you've mapped stuff on both controller and software.

But coming back on my remark, design it more like the mixerpart of an S4 and you will have a win!

now that you say it like that it becomes very easy.
just added some buttons to map in the empty space in the middle, (rane sixty-eight copyright...)
cue levels, and 3rd and 4th FX button
et voila:


personally I'd like it to have the same face plate and LED colours and buttons as the kontrol X1. but maybe thats just me.

Don't mind a bit of both, but this just became a little bit more awesome.

The only thing now is; ideally you would also want faders or knobs to control the dry/wet of the fx.

So maybe add 4fx knobs in the middle?

(Also loving the M4 name adopting. )

this is one of the greatest threads ever.
i think djtech should have some of the forum members help design a controller like this.
this forum would release waaaayyy better equipment then NI and Rane
