"Pipelineaudio (of Reaper tutorial fame) had some free drum samples, originally mapped for drumagog, which he had up for download. I downloaded them and mapped them to shortcircuit templates. Once I had spent that much time, I figured someone else might as well use this stuff too... besides, pipe no longer has those samples for download. I got his direct permission to post this here though, as of 1-10-2011.

The kit is four toms, ride, crash, snare, hat open and closed, kick. I put them in different parts because I personally like to have different parts of the kit on different tracks. Each piece has 24 layers, mapped at somewhere around 5 velocity units per sample. This isn't an everything-and-the-kitchen-sink, just a basic set that sounds very good for acoustic drum parts. "
