First suggestion that comes to mind is Four Tet (aka Keiran Hebden)... I'll have to try and think of some others.

While I agree that Lifeforms is amazing I've always felt Dead Cities was overlooked. It's a Thematic album that "tells" a story. Both albums give amazing mental images but Dead Cities tells a story, to me anyway, while Lifeforms deals in concepts and evolution.
