In preferences there should be a reset to default in the S4 section. You would probably need to calibrate your jog wheels again after doing that.

Hi, I'm confused whether the FS-5L or the FS-5U would be the ideal pedal for the S4...
Could someone kindly clear this up for me?

I bought the FS-5U. I think the L would work, but Ean "highly recommended" the U so I got it.

Haha, I agree, I saw that in a post somewhere but I didn't know if applied to the S4 as well. I understand one is Latching (5L) and the other is Unlatching (5U), but was curious which was ideal for the S4 Looping feature as in his NI S4 demo videos...

...after looking closely at the demo video, Ean is using the Grey/Black Unlatching type (5U) as opposed to the the Black/Black Latching type (5L). Okay... that's the one I'll be ordering then...

    FS-5U it is!

Ean's pedal is on while you are pressing it and off when you are not, the 5U.
The L toggles on with a press and off with a second press.

I use the L because the way I use it I would have to hold the pedal for a long time, but as a shift key or a momentary action the U would be better.

    BOSS (Company) will be surprised...
"We sold a thousand FS-5U pedals this weekend!?"

Actually, DJTT should consider adding them to the store...

+1 on this. Even if it's not the Boss one. Maybe they could build a quality one cheap. I mean a footpedal is really simple, just a button attached to a wire, that's it. I've made quite a few out of spare parts from my junk boxes.

If any body really wants an arcade button footswitch, i'll make them one. Would cost less than $20. But i wouldn't recommend it, because the plastic buttons aren't made to be stomped on like can happen to a footswitch.
