    just use polymerization.

+1 to anyone that gets the reference

but seriously though, both programs ARE great. They each have benefits that the other lacks (or is not as strong in).

From the looks of this and previous threads, it seems that these are the best in each:

serato: colored, paralleled waveforms that also show u peaks.

traktor: synd button, loads of fx

the fx are good, I really only use two, echo fade/beatmasher and the filter. I havent messed with the super knobs as much as I want, but Im looking forward to the LP/HP Filter on one knob.

You would be surprised at just how many Traktor users are simply not interested in vertical or side by side waveforms.

It simply isnt true that Traktor would get people jumping ship if they were implemented. It just isnt true.

Despite some very vocal people who post about this issue it is NOT the make or break deal.

Most Traktor users find the Phase meter to be more powerful than the other methods.

The problem is that if your used to using Seratos method then you may believe that you cannot do without it.

I reckon a LOT of Traktor users could claim the same.

Some people think that vertical waveforms would ruin the Traktor UI.

Some people shout that just because NI havent implemented them then NI arent listening to the customer. Its because it is a minority demand that it hasnt been implemented.

I know the reasons, ive read all the opinion on vertical waveforms. I understand.

NI are listening, maybe they just dont agree... Problem is when NI disagree people assume that its really that NI arent listening. Which is silly.
maybe they will change the UI to accommodate both at some point..? But certainly not at the expense of the current UI.

oh yah, the vocality is usually the minority

that is, ppl complain louder than the quiet ones off in the club just usin' the shit

i dont think i could quit the phase, mapped hotkeys for looping power, and beatgridding to my needs... too handy.

    1) modular interface, let me resize things or get rid of what I want
    2) side by side waveform option

    I WISH I WISH BRO...at least #2

and PLEASE add a sampler. why does Virtual DJ have to have the features I want?

Actually thinking about # 2. I wont die with out or # 1

Ok i'm adding more. I hate how small the midi\keyboard map page is.

Import m3u playlist (i dont want to import my entire library into iTunes. annoys me.
