Default is Vestax Spin good enough for beginner ?

    Hi guys

my name is Alton and I am from Australia..
I am new to this site,
I am new to everything of Mixing..
I went to a APPLE store the other day,
and I saw the Vestax Spin.. the price is $399Aust.

I know it is much more expensive to buy from US.
but.. since I dont have much choice in here
I might gonna get the SPIN...

Recently, I keep googling about the Spin
most of the comments are say Spin is better than Typhoon..
and yes, I am using a mac..
so I can use the Spin at home

Actually, I know the Spin has a pretty good rating already
    1. but is there other brand a model that is better than the Spin?
    2. Should I get a Typhoon or a Spin?

    THX-

VESTAY TYPHOON (MADE FOR PC) =VESTAX SPIN (MADE FOR MAC)

yes, i think that this is more for scratching...rather look for numark omni, numark stealth, numark mixtrack, behringer bcd 3000 ....

Spin is good enough for a beginner, but if your patient you can find a used VCI-100 for a little more and it's good enough for the pros.

    Default vci-100 or the Spin

    Thank you for ur reply..
my friend had also recommend me the VCI-100,
    I know its ani't cheap,
I afraid if I bought it and later on I might lose the interest on mixing,
    at the same time,
my friend said the SPIN not pro enough,
no offense but he told me its kinda like a toy..
so does it actually worth to get the Spin?

Don't worry about throwing down a couple bills on something to learn the basics.

I would rather get a Spin and then later CDJS then get a VCI-100 or even VCI-300 and call it quits.

The Spin is functionally very good, the jog wheels are excellent. It has a built-in sound card too unlike the VCI-100 so you don't need to go to that extra expense. It IS small and "home" like rather than "club" like, but that's the market.

Alternatively the Mixtrack Pro is a great buy for the beginner and should last you many years.

There are a few more choices in this DJ controller round-up but if you're not sure you want to get seriously into DJing, makes sense to get something good but cheap to start with.
