I know. It's just a pet peeve I guess, but all is fair when I ask for opinions I'm allowed to voice mine as well.
yeah, this one's pretty dope, but i'm just going to throw this out there and you can take it for what it's worth...
half-timing drum and bass from 174 to 87 or visa versa isn't new, and it always seems to garner some new subgenre name... drumfunk, breakstep, blah blah whatever, you should look into record labels like certificate 18 or reinforced...
also, beware, anything with waaaaaaaaaahwaaaaaaaahwahwahwahwahwah in it is fast going the way of goa due to hippies and their peace-fests in the woods...
lastly, bandwagoneering onto what you think is a new genre is unlikely to work, unless you are really committed, and also if you are one of the key producers of some up and coming genre, i'm never impressed by trendiness, though...
I love it, alot of the big named DJs use it as a transition stage in mixes between drum & bass and dubstep. It's alot of fun too!

I really like drumstep. I've even produced a drumstep song. It's like dubstep with more energy, I think. Hopefully no one has posted this. It starts off drumstep-ish and then goes all out dnb at the end. I love it.

Really? It's usually pretty easy for me to tell. If you could it full time at ~170-180bpm it should be pretty easy to tell it has a drum and bass vibe imo.

if you like dnb and you like dubstep, you will probably like drumstep. (except for when the dosage of grime/energy is not enough for your current needs!) agreed with what everyone else said, plus its great for transitioning.

the variety and changes in pace aand the many nodds to different genres in noisia's stuff is what makes me a fan, so bring on the bastard genre children

ok its not drumstep, more like dnb and electro. i just wanted to talk about bastards for a second. so don't be making fun of cowbellstep, frogstar... we need more will ferrels cowbell!
Quarks is such a good tune, gets my head bouncing everytime. Excision and Datsiks remix of Alpha Centauri nails it too!
