Holy shit, thats preety tight!
It would great to see cases like that, only you can "slide and lock your Laptop and Controllers in" Only problem is standardizing sizes.

The word you are looking for is minimalism
Also, am I the only DJ who uses in ear buds instead of ginormous "dj headphones"? Saves your hearing and enables you to hear everything better.

In-ear phones are a perfectly valid way to go. If you've got Shure E5c's, use em. And, given that you've paid $400 for your earphones, for a little extra you should look into custom fittings. Go visit an Audiologist and discuss with them what you want, e.g.

Buy the highest quality phones you can afford. Good drivers require less power to give great sound quality meaning you can save your hearing by running them at lower levels to get the same fidelity. My hearing is already royally fucked, so nowadays I treat it with better care.
very helpful tips, thank you.

Nope, I use 'em too.
Well I seem to be pretty confident about the earbuds I got with my Sony Ericsson W810i.
I might actually have new sleeves molded so I have an even more comfortable fit and better dampening.
(The sleeves that came with it are okay for mixing at home, haven't tried them out DJ-ing in a club or anyplace else though.)
