i would suggest checking out ebay as a used one tends to go for about $250 and brand new retail is about $500
the emx actually made me want to get the esx as well
and the smart media version is just as good as the new sd one

Maybe he just prefers stability and the ability to view both at once. If you have the gear why not?

both are pretty resource hungry apps. The fact that they are both single core apps as of now, makes it a very logical choice to run them on separate computers.

I dare to think that once multicore support is enabled in both Traktor & Maschine, it will make sense for us to start getting the powerful quad core i7s and run them both on one MBP. And then it'd make sense to be a dual screen system, but if so, isn't it easier to be two MBPs again ...
