Yup - don't keep the Maya. For similar money you can get the new Hercules DJ4+6. IT LOOKS BRILLIANT FOR THE PRICE...

Thanks, pretty basic atm but I dont need too much fancy stuff,
I'm using Traktor Pro and Djay, I find Djay easier to use as the spin was made with that program in mind but im loving the feature-full traktor pro.

I've owned one of their sound cards…don't remember which model. It's a piece of shit. It's in a box somewhere.

It was a recommendation to people who couldn't afford SSL or FS2 back in the day when every other DVS package was utter garbage and MixVibes DVS was the best of the losers.

Ah, Mixvibes. I remember it well. Didn't suit me. And after I spent BLOODY AGES setting up a Boss DR-202 Drum Machine as a pad controller!!!

(Considering selling the DR-202 if anyone in the UK is interested... PM me.)

I bought a "new" maya 44 soundcard from ebay, used it for a few hours then traded it into cash convertors and bought myself an audio 8. The quality improvement is so large words cannot describe.

    This.

So I finally got a Kontrol X1, and I must say I'm loving it to death.

I did happen to notice the new Pioneer DDJ-T1...I'm a bit disappointed. They had the opportunity to dominate the controller market and they didn't try hard enough for it, imo. They already need a MKII to come out with more features, it's too bland as it is.

when exactly? pioneer isn't really living up to their name in this sector, they've been dragging behind computer-based DJing systems for years now... the current CDJ line is a joke IMO.
