Right so styleflipped my xone42...

I know I know...it does look a tad "boring" and plain, well the upper section at least. In all honesty this is a test run for me and I didn't want to go overboard and plain and simple fact is that I was getting so sick of the dreary grey Xone that I kept on considering buying a grandmaster flash edition of the empath.

Also yes, you can see that behind some of the knobs the red is peeking through which is a bit fail. Time to order a few more fat knobs?

i wondered why it looked a bit off

like it though but could do with some lines in the EQ section, maybe between the channels?

Thanks for reminding me I passed on a great X:42 bargain at the end of this summer - 550 new, second hand, unused, instead of 666 new on thomann then and almost 800 new on thomann now.

But I did end up buying my friend's vestax pdx1 decks and some new concordes...

Yea I tried last time to throw in some square sections with round edges like around the filter section but looked...i dunno, weird? The scaling on their flash app is a massive bitch and frustrated me so much haha but yea this was just to hold me over/try it out cause I everyday I'd wake up have breakfast see my mixer and think "god fuck im so sick of you, you're so getting replaced with a Rane Empath soon" but then I twiddle the filters and I die a little inside thinking of being without those filters.

What's a thomann? But yea Xone42s are GREAT for a 1000$ mark (new) they're phenomenal and probably the only thing I'd flat out replace it with would be a xone 92

thomman is a german dj shop, rather expensive imo

Idk, compared to the prices at DJ shops here in Belgium they're always about 10-15% cheaper.

Also, you get 3 years warranty on EVERY product.
So if you buy something that only has 1 year of warranty, during that 1 year the manufacturer will fix it if you have a defect device. After that year Thomann's own technical support will fix it.
