its a midi controller so i guess you could asign functions to the vci 100.

ive never done it, as ive only just ordered my vci.

i think most people tend to user triggerpad style controllers or mixer type controlers with more channels...

but whos stoppin you using the vci? if you happy to map it out go for it.....

Presuming your going to use audio routing -

Yeah, using the same techniques we have been using on Traktor 3 works fine.

Now there is the option to also sync Traktor to Abletons clock if you prefer Traktors sync method.

Do you mean you load up traktor as a vst kinda thing and have both apps running?

do you mean you cue ya tracks in traktor but then u have all the features of ableton??? i dont get it ahha

    Its kind of like rewire,

Basically what i am doing is piping the audio from Traktor into Ableton(using JackDmp) so i have all the advantages of Ableton yet with the advanced transport controls of Traktor. I can have VST effects on Traktors decks, record cue juggles, use dummy clips and all sorts of other cool Ableton stuff.

thats the best of both the ability to control the tracks like you can in traktor with the vsts effects etc etc.. of ableton..

so in theory can you sync a track in ableton to the traktor output or is it just a audio output rather than somthing that has the abilitys to set tempo markers etc...

Yeah you can send a midi clock that will keep stuff in time

Like you said its the best of both worlds.

It doubles the latency, so you need to have a good latency to begin with. I am currently running at about 8ms latency, which is unnoticable.

    Thanks for the kind words
