Akai APC20/APC40 : any good for cue point juggling ?

i'm looking at an apc 20 at the minute anyone have experience using it with traktor?

I just got an APC40 recently. I also use my Launchpad for some cuepoint juggling. Comparing the two, the launchpad is much more responsive for doing quick juggling, but the midi fighter is unmatched when it comes to these things. However you can get an APC40 used for around $250 now, so it's a pretty good bargain for what you do get. It's definitely usable as a 4 deck mixer.. I'm using the launchpad as an extra controller which will work on the focus deck to do cue point jugging and the rest of it is mapped to tons and tons of fx.

Anyway you could use the apc20 as a solo controller, wouldn't really have much free knobs for fx and eq but it could be done. I'd probably use the midi fighter deckalized mapping and re-map the buttons for the apc20 with 2 decks if I were going to do that. The faders could be line faders and EQ, and just go without a crossfader. you could use some of the extra buttons to load different effect presets, and use the solo/cue/mute buttons to toggle fx on and off. If you were planning on hooking it up to an external mixer I think it would give you all the control needed for some pretty cool stuff, and if you were using it by itself it would probably be sufficient.

Would it be possible to do something like in this movie ? Especialy the part at 30 seconds. Or would it be hard to do with an APC.
