Today at work I used a cherry picker but didn't pick any cherries. I also used my LAPTOP on a table. My sound CARD is made of plastic. I have clothes in my CUPboard. My SPEAKERS had no vocals on today. I put my whole body on my ARMchair. Washed up after dinner and used a TEAtowel to dry things but there was no tea on it..........etc etc.

I think you get the point?

Marmite v Vegemite was always fun.

There are those that would say that controllerist aren't DJs. I enjoy meeting those people because I immediately challenge them to a "scratch Battle"

I just push them off a cliff.

Well guys, DJing is all about playing music to the crowd. Not about producing food and having the options "organic farming" or "genetic engineering" to choose from.

I had this recently after a few gigs - I use ableton, not traktor. Apparently it's okay to be a traktor digital DJ or a serato digital DJ but not an Ableton digital DJ. Why? It's not like I have my entire set already figured out, stand back and hit the space bar to make the computer do everything - I drag and drop, reset cue points, start tracks manually and mix off an analogue mixer.

    My response was this:
Can you store cue points and BPM information on an SD card from the CDJs? In tractor or serato can you beatgrid and then save your mappings, loop and cue points? How is this different from pre-warping tracks in Ableton?

Does ableton/tractor/CDJ choose what the next song will be, when it will start, what mix technique (EQ/FX/etc) will be used to mix it?

    No - so piss off.

ooh Adidas Gazelle or Puma USA!!!!!!... but yes this is an old debate and dull, I was vinyl for years i quit i came back i now only use a controlled and laptop, i prefer the feel of vinyl but love the freedom of digital, to be honest whoever is giving you a hard time just ask them if they are capable of using a digital set up :-P probably not!

p.s marmite any day of the week fact........ ;-)
